Cassie Mogg

picCassie grew up in Shallowater, Texas and attended Wayland Baptist University where she met her husband Nick.  They married in 2007 and welcomed their first son Marek in 2013 and their second son Beckham in 2016.  They came to Harvest after she attended a Walk to Emmaus and discovered that she was pregnant after dealing with infertility.  They felt like God was calling them to plant roots in a church where they felt like their family could grow spiritually. Cassie and Nick have served in the Life Group ministry and she currently serves in KidCity and on the Offering Team.  Nick serves on the Worship Team and with Catalyst Youth occasionally.  She’s worked at Covenant Hospital Plainview for 10 years and is the Chief Financial Officer.

Who is your hero? And why? My dad is my hero.  He has always risen above life’s disappointments.  He’s never wallowed in self-pity.  When his kids needed him most, he turned his life around and has dedicated his life to following Christ.

What one event in your childhood had the greatest effect on your life? My parent’s divorce and all of the obstacles that it entailed definitely had a profound impact on my life.  It made me realize that God walks with us every step of the way and sees us when we feel like no one else does.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? Life is about making memories.  I always try to make every day an adventure!

What’s the one thing you want to accomplish before you die? I want to be debt free!
