Heather Dillard started coming to Harvest in January 2006. She grew up in Lubbock, and then graduated from Wayland in 2009 and 2011. She says she has chosen to stay in Plainview, because “These are my people.” Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice here in Plainview, and she also has a home bakery where she makes gluten\-free and dairy-free baked goods that actually taste delicious. She dreams of traveling the world, and enjoys reading, watching The Great British Baking Show, and spending time with family and friends.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? I know some American Sign Language (ASL)
What makes you you come alive? Getting to pray for and encourage people; Laughing and spending time with my friends; Writing; My weekly rest day (a.k.a. good-smelling candle and lots of reading).
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? A professional ballerina
Who is someone you admire, and why? Kathy Leach – During my college years, she was a type of mentor to me, and the principles she and Mark taught me have stuck with me to this day. She has taught me what it means to love people by sticking with them even in the hard seasons, speaking truth and setting boundaries when needed, and the life-changing power of good hugs.
