Who is your hero? And why?
My husband is my hero. He has shown me what the love of Christ for his bride looks like, what a heart for service looks like, and has been a rock for me for 14 years.
What one event in your childhood had the greatest effect on your life?
When I was about 19, I really started stepping out of boundaries and making decisions that were irresponsible and reckless. Some natural consequences of that, thankfully none too permanent or severe, finally scared me back into my lane and helped me to realize the very real love God has for me to set those boundaries in place to keep me safe, happy, and teachable.
If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
I can’t even imagine. I knew I wanted to be a mom from a very early age. I work part-time as a hygienist, but even that decision was born out of wanting to have a job that was flexible enough and made enough money that I could contribute some, but ultimately spend most of my time being a mom.
What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
Tell the truth, pick up your towels, and you do for your family.
