Jodi thrives on all sorts of gastronomic adventures. Never one to let a lack of a few ingredients stand in her way, she confidently forges ahead to throw dinner together even if it means making Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken with no teriyaki and no pineapple. She’ll improvise! Jodi loves to connect with God through praise and worship and life-giving relationships with her female friends at Harvest. She’s served in several areas at Harvest including Life Groups, Catalyst youth, and the Worship Team. In this season of life she’s serving as an administrative assistant in Central Ministries at HCF focusing more attention on her unique opportunity to bring God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven to her home as wife to her husband Jodie and mom to her three daughters. Oh yeah, and she’s about to have their fourth child, Luke Asher this summer, so pray for her…a lot…
If you could run away from all your responsibilities, where would you go and why?
I’d take off for Banff and Lake Louise in Canada because I read about them in a Jeanette Oke novel when I was a little girl. I somehow created a belief that life could be perfect in a log cabin with a fireplace surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Your heart is your responsibility.”
What’s the best advice you’ve ever given?
“Choose to have a good time, and when you do, you can blame yourself.” My grandmother Bamzi used to tell us grandkids this when we were growing up and I think it’s meant more to me as the years roll on.
Which types of ministry are you most passionate about and why?
Praise and worship because it’s where I feel most alive and connected to God.
