Kendra Huey

Kendra Huey was born and raised in Canyon Texas. She married her high school sweetheart Bret (though they actually met when they were 6), and have been married for 12 years. She is a homeschooling momma to their three kids Kennedee, Jude, And Scarlett. In her spare time she enjoys rearranging furniture, looking at real estate, and drinking coconut water.

What do you enjoy doing?  One of my favorite things to do is turn the worship music on, mow the yard, and spend time in my garden.

What area of ministry are you most passionate about and why?  Hospitality for special events is my very favorite!!  I love bringing the comforts of home into each event: from the details of table decor to serving food.

Who is your hero? And Why?  My husband, the moment my placenta ruptured with baby number two was hands down his finest moment. His quick thinking and calm prayers played such a huge part in that morning. Oh, and he delivered our third. That’s his second finest moment. 🙂

If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?  It’s a close tie between event planner and home stager.

  1. How true this is. I felt such a peace from you with Scarlett. You even told me once “Mom, don’t bring that fear into this house!” We giggled because we both knew I didn’t have the same peace you and Bret did. I saw it in you and it was such a calming force that even I was a bit at peace for you. I’m not going to lie, I was really scared with all the “what ifs”. My mind ran cRaZy with every scenario I could dream up that could happen. But I knew when I saw your spirit and heart of peace it was going to be ok. Not really, I was still scared! Hehe. But it was my own anxiety that ran rampant. But honestly, I did feel such a difference in you and Bret. You spoke peace over that child and she has the sweetest spirit, like her momma. I still feel and can see a different kind of peace in your life that was not there before. The courage and sheer faith it took to step out and put such an important life decision in God’s hands was inspiring. I was so relieved when she was safely here and you were safe too. I love you so much and am in awe over how much you have grown in the Lord. It truly has been the birth of peace! Love you forever, Mom
