All these guys keep her life full of energy and joy! She has a passion for working with kids and gets to spend her days as a teacher and mama spreading Christ’s love to those kids. When she isn’t working she loves to travel with her family and experience the world around her.
Who is your hero and why?
My hero is my Granny. She has had her share of disappointments and difficulty in life but you wouldn’t know it. She is constantly full of joy and energy no matter what circumstances she is facing. I hope that I can exude the same type of joy despite trials as I go through my own life.
What do you enjoy doing most?
I love a good trip with my family! It doesn’t even have to be far away, although I do love to road trip to other places. A short trip to a nearby place and pretending to be on vacation for the day does my soul good too!
What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
This lesson is actually from both parents, but I was raised to always do your best. If at the end of the day, you can say that you tried your very best then that is all that anyone can ask of you. I am now passing that same lesson on to my kids and students.
What books have had the greatest influence on your life?
The Bible is the greatest place to find the answer to anything that I face. In this season of my life, most of the books that I get to read, other than the Bible, are children’s books. Please don’t feel bad for me though, because there are many amazing lessons in children’s books that can still help adults and I truly do love children’s books!
