David and Susan were college sweethearts. After college, David brought Susan back to Plainview to be a farm wife. They have raised two sons and now have two beautiful daughters-in-laws. David and Susan enjoy most their 5 grandchildren, ages 6 to 1. Susan retired after 28 years of teaching. She currently loves tending to her home, she loves to decorate, and is very passionate about gardening. God speaks to Susan through her gardening and her husband’s farming. She has learned so many biblical principles through being an ag family. She and David started attending Harvest in 2015. They currently lead a Life Group and are passionate about sharing their faith and growing in the Lord.
Who is your hero and why? My husband, David. We married in college and his example has taught me so much about walking with the Lord in every season of life!
What one event in childhood had the greatest effect on your life? Being raised in a small town, Christian home had the greatest impact on my life.
If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have? If I hadn’t chosen teaching as a career, I would have enjoyed studying marine biology.
What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? My mother taught me how to keep a sense of humor and grace in pain and adversity. She also taught me how to age gracefully.
