Whitney is married to Tanner Arthur and they’ll celebrate 7 years of marriage this May. They have a vivacious 4-year-old daughter Bryndl who keeps them on their toes! The Arthurs were first introduced to Harvest as visitors at the Lubbock campus a few months before they moved to Plainview. They became members of Harvest in 2016 after moving to Plainview from Lubbock. Whitney currently serves as the Hospitality Coordinator for Holy Spirit Class and volunteers in Kid City. She loves to read and bake, though there is not enough time to do as much of both as she’d like!
Who are your heroes and why?
I have 2 heroes: my mom and dad. My dad battled cancer in 2006 and was so brave and strong. He never lost his faith in God and has a wonderful testimony to share about overcoming the odds of his diagnosis. My mom is also my hero for the same reason. She held our family together and took care of everything for us. She was so much more than just a wife and mom; she was our rock and the glue that kept us together.
What’s one thing you’d like to accomplish before you die?
I’d like to bake the perfect cake! I know my decorating skills will always be lacking, but if I could make a cake from scratch that was the right amount of moist, without being crumbly…that would be the icing on the cake! HA!
What’s a “lesson from mom” you still live by?
To be kind. It’s something so simple, but it can make a huge impact in someone’s life. I try to be kind and caring to everyone I meet!
