Briana Villarreal

Briana is daughter to Alfred and Mandy Villarreal. She serves on the Kid City team and loves pouring into kiddos. She was born and raised in Plainview, graduated from Plainview High School and briefly studied music at Wayland Baptist University. Briana’s family first visited Harvest when she was 2 years old, but didn’t call Harvest “home” until October of 2003. Since then, she has been a member of Harvest and loved serving with kiddos or hospitality. She is a pet mom and a loving aunt.

Who is your hero and why? My hero is my grandpa Pedro. He passed away when I was 10, but he left such an impact. So many people were brought to Jesus through the love he  showed.

What one event in your childhood had the greatest effect on your life? I would have to say accepting Jesus into my heart at 4 years old. I have the most vivid memory of that night with my parents. And I have made mistakes and had to make course corrections since then, but I have never doubted His existence or His love for me, only my worthiness.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? “Make good choices.” I love that. No matter how you’re feeling or what has happened, you choose how to act/react. You control your choices and no one else is responsible for that.
