Courtney Harper

Courtney Harper grew up in the small town of Kress, TX and moved to Plainview in 2005. She graduated from Plainview Christian Academy and attended Wayland for a few years before marrying her husband, Cameron. Together they have three little blessings: Macy, Creed, and Sadie. Courtney has been attending Harvest since she got engaged to Cameron about 12 years ago (he had already been attending for a few years), and it has been her church home ever since. She stays busy homeschooling her children, but also works as a birth doula. Courtney is passionate about serving families through doula work and in helping to facilitate a peaceful atmosphere for them.

Who is your hero? And why? My hero is my mom, Sheri Warren. She is the strongest woman I have ever known. She has been through so much in her life, but her faith in Jesus has never wavered.

What one event in your childhood had the greatest effect on your life? When we were growing up, my parents always made time to take my brother and I on a family vacation every year. Some of my favorite memories are of camping in the Colorado mountains. It made me aware of how important it is to take a break and get away at least once a year and is now one of my favorite things to do with my husband and kids.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? My mom has always been wonderful at hospitality. If someone needs dishes done or a meal brought to them, she jumps at the opportunity. I still have growing to do in this area, but she taught me the importance of serving others in this way.
