D’Anna grew up in Plainview attending Harvest. Although she and her husband Colby went to the same school since 5th grade, they did not get to know one another until they began college at Wayland Baptist University. They both have a heart for kids and D’Anna serves in Kid City as well as alongside Colby on the youth and worship team. D’Anna spends her weekdays at home with their two precious boys, Henry and Franklin, and her Uncle Ed who she is a daytime caregiver for.
1. Who is your hero? And why?
My husband is my hero in his amazing ability to live outside the constraints of who the world says he is. I admire his confidence in not limiting himself or others.
2. What one event in your childhood had the greatest effect on your life?
I would love to know the answer to this! There are so many things that affect us and I’m deeply interested in how our brains are formed and wired but I can’t point to a single event. I can say I am very grateful for the loving, life-filled home I was raised in that directed me towards Christ.
3. If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
I would probably still be teaching. I taught 1st grade for 5 years before my oldest son was born.
4. What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
Time with your loved ones is something you can never get back.
