Jill Winders and her husband, Kerry, have been members of Harvest since 2014. Jill was born and raised in Earth, Texas. She is a wife, mom, MamaRae to five grandchildren, and a retired teacher.
Who is your hero and why? Jill’s hero is her grandmother. In her 99 years of life, she never wavered in her faith in Jesus, strength, or her desire to always put others first. She led Jill through life and taught her with gentle answers and by her living example.
What one event in your childhood had the greatest impact on you? Growing up in a strong Christian home had the greatest effect on Jill’s life.
What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? Jill’s lesson from mom (Grandmother) that she still lives by today would be that “life is never going to be fair, turn to Jesus, and do what is right”.
