JuLea and her husband Brent have been married 8 years and have 3 kiddos. BerkLea is 6, Ellie is 4.5, and Johnny is almost 3. They have several pet children including a black lab named Buster, a cat named Kitty and 12 chickens. They live in the country close to their dairy – Legacy Farms. Their household is very exciting with three little ones; it’s vibrant and full of energy. She enjoys reading, gardening, cleaning, organizing, playing with her kids and serving others. Her favorite thing is to hear “belly laughs” from their three kids. They are the light of her world! They’ve been members at Harvest since 2010. Brent & JuLea both served on the youth team for 5 years and loved every minute with those teenagers. Now their hearts are lit up with Life Groups. They love their people dearly and have a desire to watch them grow, help restore identity, marriages and bring LIFE to people. JuLea loves being able to pray for people and watch God pour out His power over them. People are very important to Brent & JuLea. They love ‘em all!

Who is your hero and why?  My hero is my mom. That woman has given my brothers and I the most unconditional love I have ever seen. Tears roll down my face as I write out those words. She has endured a lot in this life and has never been angry with God. She has trusted God and persevered through many circumstances. She is brave, she is fierce and she is sweet. She has modeled for me what it looks like to be a submitted wife and a loving mother.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by? My mom is the best housekeeper. She always had breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us. I always remember the smell of cooking that would seep into all the rooms as we were playing. She taught me a lot of lessons in keeping the house. If you get a little work done as you go, you never get too far behind.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? The craziest thing I’ve done would have to be skydiving. My husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, took me on my birthday. It was one of the most thrilling things we have done.
Which books have impacted your life the most? Oh man. There are several.
The Hole in Our Gospel – Richard Sterns
Love Does – Bob Goff
Present Over Perfect – Shauna Niequist
A Mother’s Heart – Jean Fleming
These have all spoken so much truth into my life in different seasons.
