Vickie has been attending Harvest Christian Fellowship in Plainview since 2017. She and her husband, Darren, have been married since college and have two handsome sons, two amazing daughters-in-law and 5 of the smartest, cutest, most talented grandchildren ever born! Vickie is a retired teacher and principal where she was in education for almost 30 years. 1. Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? I don’t consider myself very talented, but I’ve been known to bake a pretty good chocolate chip cookie. I love to decorate as well!
2. If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? I would be sitting on a beach under an umbrella, watching my grandchildren build sand castles.
3. Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? I guess I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. I would line up my dolls and teach them. I even had a chalk board and a chalk holder that I was so proud of!
4. Who is someone you admire, and why? Someone I have always admired is my mom. She has been the rock of our family for my whole life. She has a reputation for being a talker (that’s where I get it from), but she has such a gift of making people feel comfortable in any situation. She loves to do for others and tell others about Christ!
